The Journey so far
I have already climbed a mountain to get here – it’s been 5 years to get to this spot. I’ve also been using Neuro-Emotional Technique (NET) since 2000.
As I said, in 2017 I started noticing the repetition of pain locations that had the identical emotional themes. So like the curious person I am, I wrote down what I noticed. Actually, I scribbled it onto a whiteboard. Hindsight is a magical thing!
If only I had a time machine to go back in time and tell myself to take it seriously and be more meticulous with the details! Oh… lamenting aside. Here I am several years later, kicking myself for the volume of data that has slipped through my fingers due to not having the opportunity or foresight to write things down.
By 2019 I was using a beautiful blue book to record what I was finding each day. Each entry was a pencil scribbled note. Often this was in haste while working with someone. As you can imagine – this wasn’t beautiful scientific, detailed accurate (legible) notes. It was just scribble. As you can imagine – fast forward two years and my beautiful hubby is pushing me to digitise… and I have to unscramble my notes… (why I labelled it July 2021 I have no idea… fairly sure it dates to 2019).
I used the 2021 Sydney winter lockdown to start digitising and translating my blue book into three burgundy books. I am using a wiki as the digitising process. It is sooooo slow!
I quickly discovered that working and writing was too slow and dramatically decided to close my fabulous practise of 8+ years last October (2022). For me, 2023 is a sabbatical year – in the true sense of the word; a year to research.
In all of this I also tried to make some quick reference posters… but that was laughable – I just can't seem to get enough information onto them.
My ongoing journey to the top of the far mountain range is the base for this blog. I have five major goals for this year… but I will share those with you another day.
